I've noticed that for many people salvation is something they have done, and honestly, it makes a lot of sense why we lean that way. We live in a world that is almost entirely built on the concept of merit. From the time we're kids, we learn that if we clean our rooms, we get a treat. If we study hard, we get the grade. If we put in the overtime at work, we eventually get the promotion. It's a transaction.
